goal of our lab is to realize this vision to help Pakistan gain a competitive edge in the world. To this end, we will design and develop a massively distributed cloud infrastructure comprising tens of thousands of mini-datacentres, possibly located at cellular base stations and or POPs.<\/p><p>We posit that such a cloud infrastructure, available in the form of a \u2018pay-as-you-go\u2019 model, will offer a unique opportunity for Pakistan to build the next-generation of products and start-ups.<\/p><p>We will focus on four key application areas that will be directly enabled by having an edge computing based cloud
