Plasma Cleaner

Model: Harrick Plasma Pdc-23G. A basic plasma cleaner is available to group members, the default working gas is air, but can be coupled to a different working gas if required.

Moorfield NanoPVD T15A. Available deposition sources are Gold, Silver, Aluminium and Chromium

External Quantum Efficiency Measurement System

Custom Polarized White-light and Laser Microscope

A custom polarized optical microscopy is available to group members, allowing for transmission, reflection white light imaging. The output can be coupled to a spectrometer for simple spectroscopy measurements.

Spin-coating

At present, two spin coaters are accessible to group members, one in the solid state lab in physics and one at the SBASSE central labs shared facility

Photo-lithography

Photolihography is available to group members, alongside pre-prepared photomasks. The facility is provided by the SBASSE central labs clean room.

Electron-Beam lithography

EBL is available to group members, facility is provided by the SBASSE Central lab SEM labs.

Precision Balance

A number of precision balances are available to group members. They can be found in the LC cell fabrication lab in the right wing, as well as a glove-box balance station located in the solid state laboratory.
