MESSAGE FROM PRO-CHANCELLOR

I am delighted to welcome mathematicians from home and abroad to the LUMS International Conference on Mathematics which will cover various aspects of current research in both pure and applied Mathematics.
 

With its broad scope, the Conference will provide a useful opportunity to the participants to share knowledge of their latest researches in different fields of Mathematics and to develop future collaborations across disciplines and borders.
 

The role of Mathematics in the development of modern economics and information technology needs no emphasis.  As a premier institution of higher education in Pakistan, LUMS is promoting scientific research.  The deliberations of this Conference will pave the way for greater research activities in the field of Mathematics.
 

The holding of an International Conference is always a challenge for its Organizing Committee.  I am confident that the Department of Mathematics, School of Arts and Sciences at LUMS would meet this challenge and organize this event successfully.
