New National Curriculum 2006 (Mathematics) Standard Five: Logical Thinking and Reasoning

FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT

Objectives: By the end of the workshop participants should:

• Become aware of key features of the new national curriculum 2006 (mathematics)

• Have hands on experience of working through tasks on promoting logical thinking and reasoning

• Experience innovative teaching strategies for promoting mathematical thinking 

• Become aware of mathematicians’ perspective of teaching mathematics rules

Time & Date:

• 9:00–13:00        Friday, 31^st October 2008

• 9:00–16:00        Saturday, 1^st November 2008

 Venue: Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), Lahore.
